Do I need a referral for acupuncture?+
No. You can book acupuncture directly — no GP referral needed. See our acupuncture page for what to expect.
Are sessions available in English?+
Yes. Every session is available in English, and the clinic regularly treats expats and international professionals working in Amsterdam.
Can acupuncture be combined with physiotherapy?+
Yes — both disciplines run from the same practice, and for tension that keeps returning it is often the combination that helps. Does Japanese acupuncture hurt?+

Acupuncture at Alter Physio is a private-pay treatment: you pay directly, and it is not reimbursed through Dutch health insurance under our current model.
