Alter Physio & Acupuncture provides treatment in Amstelveen at the Fysio Quality location. Same practitioners, same approach as our practice in Amsterdam Zuid — on set days each week.
Two practitioners treat in Amstelveen, each in their own discipline. Every other treatment we offer is available at the Amsterdam Zuid practice through the week.
Physiotherapist
Fysiotherapeut, BIG-registered (29920393804). Movement analysis, sports rehabilitation and injury prevention.
You pay for treatment directly (non-contracted practice) and receive an invoice — reimbursement depends on your insurance policy.
Acupuncturist
Japanese acupuncture, with a focus on sports injury and persistent pain. Acupuncture, not physiotherapy.
Private pay — not reimbursed through Dutch health insurance. Some international or private policies may cover it.
A first session starts with listening — your history, what you have already tried, and what you want to get back to. Then we assess how you actually move, because the painful area is not always where the problem starts.
Treatment and a plan you can keep up begin the same day, and we re-test as we go. It is the same method used at our Amsterdam Zuid practice.
Soichiro Funo treats in Amstelveen on Friday evenings and on Sunday. His work is Japanese acupuncture — often for sports injury and pain that has not settled — and it is a separate discipline from physiotherapy, not a substitute for it.

Physiotherapy
Alter Physio is a non-contracted physiotherapy practice (an ongecontracteerde praktijk): we do not bill Dutch health insurers. You pay for your treatment directly and receive an invoice you can submit to your own insurer. Whether you are reimbursed, and how much, depends on your policy — please check the conditions with your insurer before starting treatment if that matters to you.
Acupuncture
Acupuncture at Alter Physio is a private-pay treatment: you pay directly, and it is not reimbursed through Dutch health insurance under our current model. Some international or private policies may reimburse acupuncture — coverage varies by insurer and policy, so please check directly with your insurer.
The first session is for listening — your history, your pattern, your goal. Treatment begins the same day.
