Physiotherapy south
of De Pijp.

De Pijp is north of us. The useful journeys are a bike ride of about 20 minutes, or the metro to Amsterdam Zuid and the walk from the station. Walking the whole way takes about 50 minutes.

Walking and cycling distances on the street network, measured and rounded. They are not tram times.

South through Oud-Zuid

Beethovenstraat, then the Zuidas, then our street.

From Sarphatipark, in the middle of De Pijp, a measured ride is 3.7 km and about 20 minutes by bike: Ceintuurbaan, Beethovenstraat, then Gustav Mahlerlaan and De Boelelaan to Arent Janszoon Ernststraat. On foot that is about 50 minutes. From De Pijp metro station the ride is 3.4 km, about 16 minutes, leaving via Ferdinand Bolstraat. Walking from the station is about 45 minutes.

If you are not on a bike, take the metro from De Pijp to Amsterdam Zuid and walk the last 1.1 km, about 15 minutes, south across Gustav Mahlerplein. Gelderlandplein lists metro 50, 51 and 52 into Amsterdam Zuid. We are not assigning a line number to the De Pijp platform beyond “the metro between the two stations”. Cycling injuries are a common reason people come from this neighbourhood. There is a separate note on preventing cycling injuries.

Bikes, cafés, and days spent on your feet.

The neighbourhood sends us knees from the bike, shoulders from a laptop on a small table, and backs that have been standing at work.

Questions

From this neighbourhood.

What is the practical way from De Pijp?+
Bike, about 16 to 20 minutes depending on whether you start at the metro station or at Sarphatipark, south via Beethovenstraat. Or take the metro to Amsterdam Zuid and walk 15 minutes. Walking the full 3.4 to 3.7 km takes 45 to 50 minutes.
Which metro do I take?+
The metro from De Pijp station to Amsterdam Zuid. Gelderlandplein lists metro 50, 51 and 52 as the lines into Amsterdam Zuid. Check the screen on the platform rather than a line number remembered from this page.
Can I do the session in English?+
Yes. English, Dutch and Japanese. Hidekazu Kuwabara is the physiotherapist, and he works in all three.
How much is a session?+
€68 for 25 minutes, €126 for 55 minutes. Book physiotherapy. Dry needling is not a separate product.
I cycle here every day and my knee hurts. Where do I start?+
Start with the knee pain guide, then book a physiotherapy assessment. The painful spot is not always the place the problem starts. A first session looks at how you actually ride and walk.
WHEN YOU'RE READY

One session.
A different understanding.

The first session is for listening — your history, your pattern, your goal. Treatment begins the same day.
