Gelderlandplein is about 400 metres east of the door: five minutes on foot along Arent Janszoon Ernststraat. From the southern side of Buitenveldert, around Van Heenvlietlaan, a measured route is about 1.3 km. That is roughly 17 minutes on foot or 8 minutes by bike, mostly along the same street.
Tram 5 or tram 25 to the A.J. Ernststraat stop, then walk east. Gelderlandplein publishes those two trams for that stop, and tells people to walk east toward the shops. Number 665A is on that walk, before the centre. Buses named on the same page — GVB bus 62 and the free Gelderlandpleinlijn 461, 463 and 464 — stop at the centre. From there it is five minutes west on foot. The page also says works can change the route, so check GVB on the day.
De Boelelaan, the university and the hospital are a short distance north. We have no affiliation with either institution. The only point is that people who work along that road are close.
Buitenveldert patients are often local. The Amsterdamse Bos is to the south, De Boelelaan is to the north, and a lot of the week is ordinary walking, cycling and desk work at home.
